Job summary

Lonza in Visp, Switzerland seeks a Technology Transfer Lead for Drug Product Services (DPS). You will lead technical transfers, scale-up and implementation of GMP sterile drug product processes, and drive change control while ensuring cGMP, HSE and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive biotech/pharma experience, excellence in communication, and strong project management, risk management and technical writing skills. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• PhD or Bachelor/Master with equivalent experience in pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, chemistry or related field.
• Extensive experience in biotech/pharma industry.
• Knowledge of drug product technical transfers.
• Aseptic product manufacture experience desirable (protein drugs, prefilled syringes).
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Strong planning, organizing, project and risk management, and technical writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads technical transfer activities including setup and implementation of manufacturing processes for sterile GMP drug product manufacturing.
• Manages technical activities for drug product transfers from clinical development to first commercial launch.
• Defines and monitors project scope, timing and progress.
• Leads setup, scale-up and implementation of manufacturing processes at GMP DP sites and provides on-site support.
• Responsible for transfer documentation and process implementation.
• Drives GMP change management and CAPA activities.
• Leads handling of deviations and corrective actions; ensures compliance with cGMP/HSE/Regulatory standards.
• Supports innovation and technical strategy projects; contributes to IP, publications and conferences.
