Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Stein, AG, Switzerland, is seeking an Associate Director, Technology Transfer (Global MSAT) to lead end-to-end transfers from development to commercial launch, including scale-up, PPQ, regulatory filings, and inspections, with a focus on aseptic fill-finish.

This fully site-based role requires deep GMP/regulatory expertise, cross-site leadership, and strong technical writing. Fluent English is essential; German is a plus. PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Industry-leading biotech/pharma/CDMO experience in drug product development and tech transfer.
• Proven ability to translate science depth into strategic decisions.
• Deep GMP, regulatory, and CMC knowledge and ability to lead cross-site programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-complexity drug product tech transfers from development to PPQ, regulatory filing, inspections and first commercial launch.
• Act as global SME for Process Technology Transfer, aligning standards across sites and products.
• Provide technical authority and escalation for complex challenges; lead late‑phase programs.
• Serve as primary technical contact for technology-transfer topics within project teams.
• Define scope, timing and progress of assigned stages; monitor milestones.
• Lead scale-up and GMP site support during batch execution for new products.
• Oversee transfer documentation, validation, and regulatory dossier reviews.
