Zusammenfassung

Lonza Group Ltd. in Visp, Switzerland is seeking a seasoned professional to lead technical transfer activities for sterile GMP DP manufacturing and to manage drug product transfers from development to first commercial launch.

You will define scope, timing and progress while ensuring strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards. The role requires an advanced degree in pharmaceutical sciences or related field, extensive biotech experience, and strong communication and project-management

Qualifikationen

  • PhD or Bachelor/Master in pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
  • Extensive biotech/pharma industry experience.
  • Knowledge of drug product technical transfers.
  • Aseptic manufacture for protein drugs; lyophilization and prefilled syringes assets.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong planning, risk management and technical writing.

  • Lead technical transfer activities for sterile GMP DP manufacturing.
  • Manage technical activities for drug product transfers from development to first commercial launch.
  • Define and monitor project scope, timing and progress.
  • Lead setup, scale-up and implementation of manufacturing processes at GMP DP sites and provide on-site support.
  • Responsible for process implementation and technical transfer documentation.
  • Drive GMP change management and change control in systems.
  • Lead and support deviations and CAPAs.
  • Ensure activities comply with cGMP, HSE and regulatory standards.
  • Enable innovation and evaluate new methods/technologies; contribute IP/publications.

The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed. This is a fully site‑based role. What you will do:
  • Leads technical transfer activities including setup and implementation of technical manufacturing processes for sterile GMP DP manufacturing
  • Manage technical activities for drug product transfers from clinical development to first commercial launch of assigned projects
  • Define and monitor project scope, timing and progress
  • Lead setup, scale-up and implementation of the technical drug product manufacturing processes at GMP DP manufacturing site(s) and provide technical on‑site support
  • Responsible for process implementation and technical transfer documentation
  • Drive GMP change management strategy of assigned projects as well as initiate and manage GMP change control in system
  • Lead and support critical GMP product / process deviations and corresponding implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs)
  • Ensure all activities are performed according to current standards (Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), Health Safety Environment (HSE), Regulatory, etc.)
  • Enable innovation and technical strategy projects, generate IP and contribute to scientific publications and conference talks, and evaluate and implement of new methods and technologies
What we are looking for:
  • Ideally PhD. or Bachelor/ Master Degree with equivalent experience in pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields or similar qualification
  • Extensive experience in biotech / pharma industry
  • Knowledge of technical issues and requirements for drug product technical transfers
  • Know-how in aseptic product manufacture for protein drug products desirable including lyophilization process, manufacturing experience in prefilled syringes is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills with great teammate attitude
  • Very good planning and organizing skills, including project management, risk management and technical writing skills
