You will also oversee internal policies related to Client Tax Transparency.

Are you interested? Do you have experience dealing with QI, FATCA, CRS, Swiss Stamp Tax, DAC6/MDR within a financial institution, and knowledge of general US and Non-US tax principles? Do you enjoy being part of a cohesive team?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you!

What you will do:

The jobholder will need to gain a solid understanding of cross-departmental procedures and act as a Tax Subject Matter Expert (SME) with key stakeholders.

You will proactively ensure the accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness of compliance with QI, FATCA, SST, TTC operational taxes (withholding and reporting), and Automatic Exchange of Information (OECD Standard / CRS). Supporting the risk management framework and conducting periodic stress tests on effectiveness will be key responsibilities. This requires interpretation and practical application of complex legislations and supporting the digitalization of the tax function.

You will also need to maintain a good understanding of relevant local and foreign tax laws, including double taxation agreements, and understand the bank’s products and their tax implications.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor compliance with Regulatory and International Tax regimes for GPB entities.
  • Review procedures and activities periodically to ensure effectiveness, assess risks, and identify resolutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other departments and management to communicate priorities.
  • Provide technical advice, training, and support on Regulatory and International Tax regimes.
  • Create and review internal procedures, DIMs, and processes related to international and Swiss regimes.
  • Supervise Client Lifecycle Management teams, ensuring guidance is understood and implemented through training and quality checks.
  • Monitor developments in the relevant areas and support their implementation.
  • Serve as the main contact point for fiscal matters in private banking booking centers, ensuring optimal client service.
  • Support external Swiss or US tax authorities and internal audits, following up on findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in addressing external client tax-related queries via meetings or calls.

Requirements:

  • University, business, or law degree qualification.
  • Experience with QI, FATCA, CRS, Swiss Stamp Tax, DAC6/MDR within a financial institution; knowledge of US and Non-US tax principles is desirable.
  • Good understanding of private banking clients and tax rules.
  • Flexible, curious, and collaborative mindset, especially regarding tax digitalization.
  • Highly organized with experience in administrative processes.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, and Internet research.
  • Fluency in English; French or other languages are an advantage.

Note: Due to immigration restrictions, applications from Swiss/EU citizens or those holding a valid Swiss work permit will be considered.

Even if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications, we encourage you to apply if you believe you are suitable for the role.
