Are you interested? Do you have experience dealing with QI, FATCA, CRS, Swiss Stamp Tax, DAC6 / MDR within a financial institution, and knowledge of general US and Non-US tax principles? Do you enjoy being part of a cohesive team?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you!

What you will do :

The jobholder will need to gain and leverage a good understanding of cross-departmental procedures and engage as a Tax SME with key stakeholders.

You must act proactively to ensure accuracy, completeness, and the effectiveness of compliance regarding QI, FATCA, SST, TTC operational taxes, and Automatic Exchange of Information (OECD Standard / CRS). Supporting risk management, understanding legislative interpretations, and digitalization of the tax function are key challenges.

Additionally, you will need to maintain a good knowledge of local and foreign tax legislations, double taxation agreements, and understand the interaction of business and banking products across the group.

In this role you will :

  • Monitor compliance with Regulatory and International Tax regimes for GPB entities.
  • Review procedures and activities periodically to ensure effectiveness and assess risks.
  • Build and maintain relationships across departments to communicate priorities.
  • Provide technical advice, training, and support on relevant tax regimes.
  • Create and review internal procedures, DIMs, and processes.
  • Supervise Client Lifecycle Management teams, ensuring guidance is understood and implemented.
  • Monitor developments in relevant areas and support their implementation.
  • Serve as a main contact point for fiscal matters in private banking booking centers.
  • Support external Swiss or US tax authorities and internal audits.
  • Assist with external client tax queries through meetings or calls.

Requirements include a university or business school qualification, law degree, experience with QI, FATCA, CRS, Swiss Stamp Tax, DAC6 / MDR, and knowledge of US and Non-US tax principles. A good understanding of private banking clients, flexible and collaborative mindset, organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in PC skills are essential. Fluency in English, with French or other languages as an advantage. Only Swiss or EU citizens or those with a Swiss work permit will be considered.

What you’ll get in return :

HSBC offers career development, flexible work options, health and family benefits, insurance, pension schemes, sports activities, and international opportunities, among others.

Join HSBC to be part of a diverse, inclusive environment committed to removing barriers and opening up opportunities worldwide.
