Job summary

CAScination AG in Bern seeks an experienced test engineer to drive software verification and validation in a regulated environment. You will review tests, extend hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testing, and validate performance and stability across clinical workflows.

You will lead V&V for annual releases and support field investigations. The role requires hands-on testing, automation scripting (Python), strong troubleshooting across networks and Windows, and precise documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software verification and validation in a regulated industry (medical, aerospace, automotive)
• Hands-on testing experience including automation/scripting (Python) and performance/stress testing
• Solid troubleshooting across networks (e.g. Ethernet) and Windows
• Understanding of clinical workflows and medical imaging, testing from user perspective
• Familiarity with traceability and defect-tracking tools is a plus
• Structured and precise working style with strong documentation discipline
• Professional English skills

Responsibilities

• Review unit and integration tests and contribute tests where needed, including Qt logic and GUI tests
• Improve and extend HiL/SiL testing infrastructure
• Verify performance, rendering, memory usage and leaks; ensure stability
• Test the system along real clinical workflows from end-user perspective
• Lead verification and validation during annual release and manage related documentation
• Investigate field complaints and support investigations, improve logs and diagnostics
• Localize faults across software, electronics, mechanics, or setup, including network and OS issues
• Collaborate with Software, Systems, Hardware, and Quality teams
