Senior System Engineer - Windows

Location: Canton Zurich (Hybrid work model possible)

We've partnered with one of the leading universities in Switzerland to find a Senior System Engineer - Windows who is ready to make a real impact in a forward-thinking, agile ICT environment.

Your Mission

• Operate and evolve a modern Windows Server infrastructure
• Automate server provisioning (focus on Windows)
• Manage and enhance Veeam backup systems
• Advance infrastructure automation (SaltStack, PowerShell, etc.)
• Assist in the setup of Windows server roles/features and third-party tools
• Collaborate closely with agile ICT teams and internal stakeholders

What You Bring

• Recognized IT qualification (FH, HF, FA, EFZ, or equivalent)
• Experience with hybrid infrastructures (network, virtualization, storage)
• Deep Windows Server knowledge (features, roles, scripting)
• Strong PowerShell skills; Linux/Bash/Python is a plus
• Familiarity with datacenter networking (VLAN, DNS, firewalls)
• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, and Azure is an advantage
• A collaborative mindset, service-oriented thinking, and experience in agile environments (SAFe, Scrum, etc.)
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
