AYES is seeking an experienced Spacecraft Systems Engineer to lead activities across the full lifecycle, from concept through development, AIT, launch and in-orbit operations for complex aerospace programs. • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical activities and interface with customers in spacecraft domains.

• Lead system engineering activities across the full spacecraft lifecycle, from early concept through development, AIV/T, launch and in orbit commissioning.
• Manage system engineering activities including functional analysis, concept of operations, mission analysis, system modes, requirements, interfaces, engineering databases and system budgets.
• Coordinate subsystem and software development, ensuring technical consistency and interface management across spacecraft and Ground Segment.
• Lead technical assessments, trade studies, risk resolution, system baseline definition and change control, maintaining engineering documentation.
• Define and coordinate system development, verification and validation planning, support schedule and cost activities, and contribute to process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system engineering activities across the full spacecraft lifecycle, from early concept and requirements definition through development, AIV/T, launch and in orbit commissioning.
• Manage key system engineering activities including functional analysis, concept of operations, mission analysis, system modes, requirements, interfaces, engineering databases and system budgets.
• Coordinate subsystem and software development, ensuring technical consistency, effective interface management and alignment across spacecraft and Ground Segment.
• Lead technical assessments, trade off studies, risk and opportunity resolution, system baseline definition and change control, while maintaining the required engineering documentation.
• Define and coordinate system development, verification and validation planning, support technical schedule and cost activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of system engineering processes.

Our Ideal Candidate Should Have

• BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics or a related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in the spacecraft industry, with strong hands on experience in spacecraft system engineering.
• Strong experience in system requirements decomposition, interface management, trade studies, system sizing and performance or error budget development.
• Solid experience across the spacecraft development lifecycle, including design, development, verification, AIT, launch and in orbit operations.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical activities and interface with customers, with knowledge in one or more spacecraft domains such as avionics, power, AOCS, propulsion, thermal and mechanical, AIT, operations, launcher interfaces or FDIR.
