Beyond Gravity is a high-tech aerospace company headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, with over 1700 professionals across 13 locations in six countries. We are seeking a Systems Engineer / Technical Project Manager to lead technical activities and ensure products meet requirements, schedules, and budgets within a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.

You will influence design, development and production in a hands-on team.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Technical Project Management.
• Experience with composites systems or mechanisms.
• Experience in architecture, design & development of aerospace systems.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead and coordinate technical activities as engineering responsible to meet requirements within budget and schedule.
• Lead technical proposals, quotations, concept work and trade studies.
• Support processes and product continuous improvements.
• Break down requirements into subsystems and generate specifications for customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Plan technical work packages through the Design Development and Verification Plan.
• Write and review technical specifications, deliverables and documents (e.g., Test Plan, drawings).
• Perform continuous technical risk management and root cause analyses.
• Provide engineering support to production.
• Represent engineering in negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers.

Summary

Perform Systems Engineering (aka Technical Project Management) throughout Study, Development, Qualification and Pro d uction phases, to achieve and maintain q ualification of p roduct. Is the technical responsible for identified critical sub-systems (such as separation mechanism) of the company portfolio.

Your Mission

• Lead s and coordinates technical activitie s as engineering responsible with the objective to meet requirements within the given budget and agreed schedule.
• Leads and coordinates technical proposals , quotations, concept work and trade studies.
• Support sprocesses and product continuous improvements.Propose market-oriented initiatives to improve existing technologies and production processes
• Breaks down the technical requirements to subsystems generating specifications for customers,suppliersandsubcontractors. Tracks the requirements’compliance status.
• Plans technical work packages, e.g. through the Design Development and Verification Plan.
• Write sand reviewstechnicalspecifications, project related deliverables and otherdocuments(e.g. Test Plan, drawings, changes)
• Carries out continuoustechnical risk managementand perform Root CauseAnalyses.
• Provides engineering support to production.
• Represent sengineering during negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors.Is the engineering point of contact for customers.

Your Story

• Universitymaster’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 yearsofrelevantprofessional experience in System Engineering or Technical Project Managementin the space or aerospace sector.
• Proven expertisewithcompositessystems or mechanism.
• Experience in the architecture, design & development ofaerospace systems, based on defined performance, cost and reliability targets.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
• Professional working proficiency in English (Germanis a plus), with strong writing and communication skills.
• Proven track record in analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have’s:

• Experience withrequirements management tools anddatabases / systems,e.g. DOORs, Polarion
• Knowledge of theaerospace industry and market
