Job summary

SGS is seeking a Senior Payroll Leader for its Swiss operations in Zug. You will own end-to-end payroll across cantons, ensuring compliance, governance and timely payroll execution. The role involves collaboration with finance, HR and external providers.

Responsibilities include monthly payroll processing, annual reviews, and payroll analytics. Strong Abacus experience and fluent German/English are essential for this senior position in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, HR, Business Administration or equivalent professional qualification.
• 10+ years of payroll experience at senior specialist/manager level in a multinational environment.
• Expert knowledge of Swiss payroll, social security and cantonal tax rules.
• Experience with end-to-end payroll processing, statutory reporting, audits and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly Swiss payroll operations across cantons for various employee categories.
• Oversee payroll accuracy, audit trails, and timely payslips and payments.
• Coordinate with pension funds, insurers, AVS authorities and tax administrations.
• Manage payroll system providers and drive governance, controls and improvements.
