Overview

To meet the objectives of the role, you will be responsible for building an innovative external supply planning capability, in line with the planning strategy. Critical to building these new capabilities will be establishing foundational capabilities in the core planning systems and ERP systems and evolving the planning process from a functional focus to an end-to-end value stream focus with an accelerated evolution towards sophisticated analytics and autonomous planning capabilities. This is also the leadership role with the small team of subject matter experts.

Team Management

  • Ensure strong governance of planning cycle and efficient conversion of global demand requirements into an attainable supply plan for finished goods manufactured by our External Vendors.

  • Lead and manage a small team of subject matter experts for Performance and Development management, along with all recruitment.

  • Develop talent and provide coaching for early risk management.

Planning Management Responsibilities

  • Planning activities for a portfolio of products to meet service level, global inventory, and agility objectives.

  • Act as a Liaison between external manufacturing integrations teams & Global Plan/Value Stream Leads for the critical issues of STEM and systemic external manufacturing supply issues.

  • Supporting the Global IBP process by being responsible for the Executive Supply Review section addressing the supply performance,

  • Drive E2E flow from External vendors to our J&J distribution network to attain Service and inventory levels

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to increase global S&OP Maturity.

  • Lead deployment of planning optimization programs (VMI, Purchase Order Collaboration)

  • Review and approve planning terms for all new Supplier contract

  • Owning and supervising key supply chain plan-related performance metrics including:

  • Service: OTIF-Delivered, Backorder value.

  • Inventory: value and days of inventory, measured at each echelon of the supply chain.

  • Manufacturing Plan Attainment: Volume and Mix MPS Attainment - measured to hold external suppliers accountable for delivering their planned output.

  • Excess & Obsolete: value and split between NPI and base business, measured both at the warehouse and field levels in partnership with the regions.

  • Team efficiency metrics, including people costs per SKU planned.

  • Periodically evaluate planning system parameters & settings that influence net requirements planning and inventory targets

  • Leading the blueprint for planning process improvement for supply, with the objective of moving towards autonomous planning, supported by sophisticated analytical capabilities.

  • Lead a best-in-class External Planning operation to provide Mitek Sports robust supply for both NPI Implant and Instruments, along with key Strategic Brands within our Implant revenue driving Portfolio.

  • Develop scenario planning to identify proactively supply risks and support NPI launches (~ 200+ new products)

  • Ensure planning systems and Supplier signals are aligned to the Franchise Lifecycle Management Strategy.

Requirements

  • Generally, requires (6-8) years related experience

  • University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

  • High standard of Data Analytics/ reporting skills.

  • Problem solving with attention to detail, along with excellent organizational skills

  • Committed to expanding technical and business expertise

  • Relevant working experience in a multisite organization

  • Excellent Communication Skills in English.
