Jobbeschreibung

As a Senior Storage Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be part of an engineering and operations team. You will manage and further develop the enterprise storage platforms, including SAN (IBM FlashSystem, NetApp, PureStorage, and Cloudian), and provide support to cross-team activities related to tasks and projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide and manage storage for different consumers (block, object, and archive) on various technologies (SAN, LAN, iSCSI).
• Execute operational activities such as release updates, patching, and capacity management.
• Collaborate with projects to support their requirements.
• Develop storage architecture in line with industry and product evolution.
• Provide second-level support within the existing support organization, including on-call duties.

Your Profile

• Higher education (university / FH) in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of practical experience in Storage and SAN Management.
• Experience with Linux System Administration and/or Network Engineering.
• Knowledge of VMware is an advantage.
• Proven proficiency with different storage technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
• Willingness to take responsibility and a hands-on mentality.
• Ability to work independently.
• Fluency in English; very good command of German.
• Entrepreneurial spirit within a family-owned bank.
• Availability at central office locations across Switzerland.
