About the Role

The Analytics & Reporting Senior Specialist will join the growing Happiness Delivery (HD) team to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. The role sits at the intersection of business, analytics and data engineering, helping HD understand its performance, improve how it uses data and identify opportunities to work smarter through automation and technology. The specialist acts as a curious problem solver and trusted analytics partner, moving from a business question to the underlying data and translating the answer into a simple, actionable story for the right audience. The role works closely with HD leadership, operational teams, Analytics & Reporting, Data Engineering and other technology partners across Berlin, Zurich and Portland.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the performance narrative by designing, building and maintaining dashboards and reporting that provide a clear view of HD performance across regions, channels and processes.
• Ensure that metrics are accurate, relevant and presented at the right level of granularity for different stakeholders.
• Partner with HD leadership and operational teams to understand their questions and translate them into meaningful analysis, KPIs and reporting.
• Go beyond reporting what happened to help explain why it happened and what should be done about it.
• Act as a strong link between HD and Data Engineering / Business Intelligence teams, translating business needs into clear data requirements, helping clarify priorities and investigating issues when reporting or data does not behave as expected.
• Investigate data quality issues, understand how data is transformed, identify gaps or inconsistencies and provide recommendations on where the underlying data or processes can be improved.
• Challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities to simplify reporting, automate flows, improve data structures, reduce manual effort and strengthen the overall analytics landscape.
• Help the team move from reactive reporting towards scalable, proactive analytics.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, performance management, customer service, CRM, operations or a related field.
• Understanding of the importance of translating operational performance into actionable insights.
• High proficiency in SQL and comfort working with data logic and transformations.
• Ability to investigate data beyond the reporting layer and understand how data flows through a pipeline.
• Strong hands-on experience with BI and visualisation tools.
• Ability to structure information and visualisations so that complex performance can be communicated clearly to different audiences.
• Curiosity about AI and modern automation technologies, with a natural inclination to look for opportunities to eliminate manual work, improve processes and scale analytics.
• Enjoyment of investigating problems rather than accepting the first answer, including digging into data and underlying logic when a number looks wrong, a process is inefficient or a stakeholder has a difficult question.
• Ability to translate business needs into data requirements for engineering teams.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and data limitations in a simple way to business stakeholders.
• Ability to challenge assumptions constructively, align different perspectives and turn ambiguous business questions into clear analytical requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, data analytics, business analytics or a related quantitative field.
• Business fluency in English.

• Experience in customer service.

• Experience measuring or working with AI/automation initiatives, such as automation rates, model accuracy or human intervention.
