Syngenta in Münchwilen, Switzerland seeks a Principal Scientist – Application Technology to lead end‑to‑end product testing, shape risk-based plans, and deliver robust evidence for crop protection technologies across diverse crops worldwide.

You’ll own test strategies, interpret results, and communicate clear recommendations, while collaborating with PT&E, CPRD, and Commercial teams to advance innovation and safety in application solutions.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in agronomy, biology, agricultural engineering, or related field; MSc/PhD preferred.
• Strong knowledge of crop protection application technologies, agronomy and product-use practices.
• Ability to define test strategies, interpret technical data and provide clear recommendations.

Aufgaben

• Own Fit-for-Use testing from design to data analysis and communication.
• Define risk-based test plans and acceptance criteria for product development.
• Provide Application Technology expertise to support product development across stages.
• Identify application risks and drive actions to resolution.
• Collaborate across PT&E and with CPRD/Commercial functions.
• Anticipate developments in equipment, automation, and digital tools for testing.
• Develop improved test methods and testing capabilities.
• Coordinate maintenance and upgrades with site/workshop and external providers.
• Drive innovation via data capture and digital tools.
• Champion HSE culture in all lab and field activities.
