The assignment emphasizes on-site work in the Basel area with initial testing and go-live activities, and allows more flexible remote work during development phases.

Qualifikationen

• Approximately 5+ years of SAP ABAP experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP logistics and warehouse processes (SD/LE/WM).
• Experience developing and consuming BAPIs and RFC interfaces.
• Experience integrating SAP with external systems such as WMS, MES, or shipping systems.
• Ability to work across end-to-end logistics processes and troubleshoot real-time interfaces.

We are currently looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong Logistics and WMS integration experience to support a major SAP and warehouse transformation project in Switzerland.

Project Context:

As part of a Warehouse Management System upgrade, several logistics functionalities currently managed within SAP will be transferred to a new external WMS.

The objective is to adapt the remaining SAP processes, develop the required integrations between SAP and the WMS, and ensure reliable real-time communication across the logistics landscape.

The assignment will require a strong on-site presence in Switzerland (Basel area), particularly during the initial analysis, testing and go-live phases, with more flexibility for remote work during development.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance SAP applications using ABAP
• Understand and adapt existing SAP logistics and warehouse processes
• Design and develop integrations between SAP and an external WMS
• Develop and work with BAPIs and RFC-based interfaces
• Support real-time data exchanges between SAP and connected systems
• Analyse integration issues and identify whether problems originate from SAP, interfaces or the WMS
• Work across end-to-end logistics processes involving multiple systems and business steps
• Support SIT, UAT and shop-floor testing
• Collaborate closely with logistics, warehouse, IT and operational teams
• Support the project through testing and go-live

Key Skills:

• Good understanding of SAP Logistics, ideally including SD, LE, WM or related areas
• Hands-on experience with warehouse processes: goods receipt, stock movements, pallet flows, picking, shipping and goods issue
• Experience developing and consuming BAPIs
• Strong experience with RFC interfaces
• Experience integrating SAP with external systems such as WMS, MES, automation or shipping systems
• Good understanding of integration architectures and troubleshooting
• Experience working with real-time interfaces
• Ability to understand processes across several systems rather than focusing only on SAP development

Profile:

• Approximately 5+ years of SAP ABAP experience
• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse or supply-chain environments
• Comfortable working directly with operational and shop-floor teams
• Autonomous, pragmatic and able to investigate complex integration issues
