Job summary

Source Group International is seeking an experienced Senior Release Manager to coordinate complex software releases across multiple interdependent projects in Zurich. The role involves leading release planning and governance, ensuring smooth SIT and UAT cycles, and managing environments and dependencies.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT delivery, preferably in banking/wealth management tech, with strong stakeholder management and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' IT delivery experience, ideally in banking or financial services.
• Proven Release Manager track record within complex transformation programmes.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects/releases across SIT and UAT cycles.
• Strong understanding of dependencies, environments, deployment and change management.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence or similar tools.

Senior Release Manager

Location: Zurich

Contract duration: 12 months

Start date: December 2026

We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to coordinate complex, integrated software releases across multiple interdependent projects.

Experience & Skills

• 8+ years' experience in IT delivery, ideally within banking or financial services
• Proven experience as a Release Manager within complex transformation programmes
• Experience coordinating multiple projects/releases across SIT and UAT cycles
• Strong understanding of dependencies, environments, deployment and change management
• Good understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery models
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence or similar delivery/release management tools
• Banking experience and understanding of Private Banking / Wealth Management products and technology environments strongly preferred
• Experience working within complex, regulated technology environments

• Pragmatic, structured and solution-oriented
• Strong stakeholder management across technical, business and senior management audiences
• Able to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English; German or additional languages are beneficial
• Flexibility to support critical release activities outside standard working hours, including occasional weekend
