Sécheron Hasler Group in Geneva seeks a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer to design robust, cost-efficient mechanical solutions for railway and industrial systems. You will turn advanced concepts into practical designs and work across departments to translate requirements into manufacturable products.

You will lead tolerance analyses, perform FEA, and mentor teams while advancing complex multi-physical products, including electrical and magnetic interfaces.

Qualifikationen

• Master or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics.
• Experience with tolerance management, robust design, design-to-cost and FEA.
• Experience developing complex systems involving electrical, mechanical and magnetic interfaces.
• Implementation of robust design into industrial products.
• Knowledge of ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and tolerance management (with SolidWorks).
• FMEA experience and robust design methodologies.

Requirements

• Master/PhD of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics/similar.
• Tolerance management, Robust Design, Design-to-Cost, Finite Element Analysis (Solidworks, Comsol, Ansys).
• Development of complex systems involving different technologies (in particular electrical, mechanical, magnetic).
• Implementation of robust design into industrial products.
• Key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues.
• Broad knowledge of machining capabilities and material (plastics/thermoset).
• English (must), French and/or German (wish).
• Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Tolerance Management (with application in SolidWorks).
• Functional Analysis, FMEA.
• Electrical engineering fundamentals/Power electronics.
