We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical R&D Engineer for our Geneva office to design robust, manufacturable solutions and to transform advanced concepts into practical designs. The role involves coaching on robust design, supporting existing products, and working within a multi-department team to handle complex multi-physical systems.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in mechanical sciences, have expertise in tolerance management, FEA (SolidWorks, COMSOL, ANSYS),

Qualifikationen

• Master/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Design-for-manufacturing and cost-focused engineering.
• Experience in robust design and validation methods.
• Experience with complex multi-physical systems (electrical/mechanical/magnetic).
• Proficiency in ISO GD&T and tolerance management.
• Experience applying FMEA and functional analysis.

• Hands-on with experimental mounting and testing.

Requirements

• Master/PhD of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics/similar.
• Tolerance management, Robust Design, Design-to-Cost, Finite Element Analysis (Solidworks, Comsol, Ansys).
• Development of complex systems involving different technologies (in particular electrical, mechanical, magnetic).
• Implementation of robust design into industrial products.
• Key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues.
• Broad knowledge of machining capabilities and material (plastics/thermoset).
• English (must), French and/or German (wish).
• Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Tolerance Management (with application in SolidWorks).
• Functional Analysis, FMEA.
• Electrical engineering fundamentals/Power electronics.
