Sécheron SA in Geneva is seeking a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer to design for manufacturing and develop robust, cost-efficient solutions for complex railway technologies.

You will convert advanced concepts into practical designs, coach others in robust design, and collaborate across departments on multi-physical products, with hands-on testing and prototype mounting.

Qualifikationen

• Master/PhD of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnics or Mechatronics/similar.
• Tolerance management, Robust Design, Design-to-Cost, Finite Element Analysis (Solidworks, Comsol, Ansys).
• Development of complex systems involving different technologies (in particular electrical, mechanical, magnetic).
• Implementation of robust design into industrial products.
• Key player in inventing advanced concepts and solving critical issues.
• Broad knowledge of machining capabilities and material (plastics/thermoset).
• English (must), French and/or German (wish).
• Geometrical Product Specifications (ISO Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Tolerance Management (with application in SolidWorks).
• Functional Analysis, FMEA.
• Electrical engineering fundamentals/Power electronics.
