Job summary

Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, is seeking a QC equipment lifecycle specialist to ensure qualification, operation and decommissioning of analytic equipment within QC. The role requires GMP experience and collaboration across teams in a fully site-based environment.

The ideal candidate will have a university/college degree in chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology or process engineering, plus hands-on GMP qualification experience and strong problem-solving and communication skills in German and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Process Engineering or equivalent
• GMP-regulated pharma/biotech experience
• Knowledge of analytical lab equipment and qualification processes
• Understanding IQ/OQ/PQ requirements and GMP docs
• Experience managing deviations, change controls, CAPAs
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in German and English

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of QC analytical equipment from user requirements through qualification, operation and decommissioning
• Coordinate procurement, installation, maintenance, calibration, qualification and replacement activities
• Prepare, review and support IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and GMP-compliant qualification activities
• Investigate deviations, support change controls and CAPAs, contribute to risk assessments
• Coordinate vendors and service providers during installation, qualification, maintenance and repair
• Support QC teams in troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions
• Participate in equipment and infrastructure projects and drive continuous improvement

Education

Chemistry / Pharmacy / Biotechnology / Process Engineering degree
