Lonza in Visp, Switzerland, is seeking a Scientist QC Equipment & Qualification at 80-100% (f/m/d). This fully site-based role will manage the PQ/IQ/OQ activities and lifecycle of QC analytical equipment, ensuring GMP compliance and availability.

You will coordinate procurement, installation, maintenance, calibration and qualification, and support deviations and CAPAs. Applicants should hold a relevant degree and have GMP experience, with strong problem solving and stakeholder management skills,

Qualifications

• Completed university/college degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Process Engineering or a comparable scientific discipline or equivalent qualification
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment, ideally within pharma/biotech
• Knowledge of analytical laboratory equipment and equipment qualification processes
• Understanding of IQ/OQ/PQ requirements and GMP documentation standards
• Experience managing deviations, change controls, and CAPAs

Responsabilités

• Manage the complete lifecycle of QC analytical equipment, from user requirements and qualification through routine operation and decommissioning
• Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and replacement activities
• Prepare, review, and support IQ/OQ/PQ documentation and ensure GMP-compliant execution of qualification activities
• Investigate equipment-related deviations, support change controls and CAPAs, and contribute to risk assessments
• Coordinate vendors and service providers during installation, qualification, maintenance, and repair activities
• Support QC teams in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing sustainable corrective actions
• Participate in equipment and infrastructure projects while driving continuous improvement initiatives
