Job summary

Swiss Himmel GmbH in Basel, Switzerland, seeks an experienced Senior QA & Release Engineer for banking and regulatory reporting applications. You will lead end-to-end testing, release coordination, and DevOps automation in a fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in QA and release management within financial services, with strong SQL, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, and Linux skills. The role is on-site in Basel with an emphasis on regulatory reporting and deployment

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in software testing, QA, and release management within banking/financial services.
• Experience with integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and UAT testing.
• Solid SDLC/STLC understanding and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Proven release deployment coordination and production go-live activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute comprehensive testing for banking and regulatory reporting applications.
• Own end-to-end test coordination, defect triage, and stakeholder reporting.
• Manage complete release lifecycle, including deployment planning and post-deployment support.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Coordinate testing and releases across onshore/offshore teams and DevOps.
