Job summary

Swiss Himmel GmbH is seeking a Senior QA Engineer / Test Specialist for IAM & PAM to advance identity and access management modernization in the Swiss banking sector.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as QA SME for IAM, PAM, and Password Vaulting in Swiss banking environments.
• Own end-to-end QA activities: test strategy, planning, execution, defect lifecycle.
• Design and execute test cases for IAM/CAM, Security Provisioning, AD, and LDAP.
• Test Break-Glass, Temporary Privileged Access, and Session Management controls.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and security testing of access-control systems.

• Maintain traceability from requirements through to test results and defects.
• Coordinate UAT with business, compliance, security, and technology stakeholders.

Senior QA Engineer / Test Specialist – IAM & PAMAbout the RoleSwiss Himmel GmbH is seeking a Senior QA Engineer / Test Specialist – IAM & PAM to support Identity and Access Management modernisation and cybersecurity compliance programmes within the Swiss banking sector.We are looking for an experienced testing professional with strong functional and technical expertise in Identity & Client Access Management, Privileged Access Management, Security Provisioning, and access‑control systems, with hands‑on end‑to‑end QA experience.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in test strategy design, test planning, test execution, defect management, UAT coordination, and regulatory compliance for IAM and cybersecurity solutions.This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT security, compliance, risk, and technology teams to deliver secure, compliant, and thoroughly tested access management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical and functional QA SME for IAM, PAM, and Password Vaulting solutions within Swiss banking environments.
• Own end‑to‑end QA activities, including test strategy, test planning, test execution, and defect lifecycle management.
• Design and execute test cases covering IAM/CAM, Security Provisioning, Active Directory, and LDAP.
• Test Break‑Glass procedures, Temporary Privileged Access, and Session Management controls for functional and security compliance.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and security testing of access‑control systems.
• Manage defects throughout their lifecycle and prepare test summary and quality reports.
• Maintain traceability matrices linking requirements, test cases, execution results, and defects.
• Ensure testing activities and quality gates meet defined security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate UAT activities with business, compliance, security, and technology stakeholders.
• Define and manage UAT entry and exit criteria and obtain formal business sign‑off.
• Ensure end‑to‑end traceability from business requirements through test execution and UAT completion.
• Facilitate testing workshops with business, IT, compliance, risk, and security teams.
• Review BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements to derive comprehensive test scenarios.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and quality status to project stakeholders.
• Support regulatory compliance and audit readiness through robust testing documentation, evidence, and process controls.
• Ensure IAM and access‑control testing aligns with applicable financial‑sector security and governance standards.
• Support FINMA, MAS, and internal audit requirements relevant to IAM and cybersecurity.
• Maintain appropriate testing evidence and documentation for audit and regulatory reviews.
• Collaborate with IT security, compliance, risk, and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Test Specialist, or Test Manager within Banking or Financial Services.
• Strong experience in IAM, PAM, cybersecurity, and access‑control testing, preferably within Swiss banking environments.
• Hands‑on experience testing IAM/PAM and Password Vaulting solutions.
• Strong expertise in testing Security Provisioning, Active Directory, and LDAP administration, including tools such as Softerra and LDAP Administrator.
• Experience with Break-Glass, Temporary Privileged Access, Session Management, and privileged access controls.
• Strong knowledge of test planning, test execution, regression testing, integration testing, security testing, and defect management.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as ALM, Xray, Squash, and Jira.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and GitLab within DevOps and CI/CD environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL and API testing using tools such as SoapUI and Postman.
• Good understanding of FINMA and MAS regulatory requirements and their impact on IAM, cybersecurity, and test coverage.
• Strong experience in UAT coordination, stakeholder management, test reporting, and quality governance.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or similar technologies.
• Experience with identity lifecycle management, joiner‑mover‑leaver processes, role‑based access control, and access certification.
• Knowledge of authentication technologies such as MFA, SSO, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience working on IAM transformation or cybersecurity compliance programmes within regulated financial institutions.
• Knowledge of Swiss banking security, risk, and audit practices.
