Job summary

Corintis, based at the EPFL Campus in St. Sulpice, Switzerland, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own significant portions of software used to simulate and design microfluidic cooling solutions.

You will report to the Head of Software Engineering and collaborate with engineers, product managers and users to deliver fast, correct, and scalable software. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to design and build large, complex software systems.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale software systems, from the first architecture to the release.
• Write clean, efficient, tested and well-documented Python code.
• Convert user needs into clear technical designs, and deliver these designs as new features.
• Make software design decisions, and define best practices for design patterns, code reviews and tests.
• Review code and mentor junior developers to help them grow professionally.
• Find and remove performance bottlenecks, and fix the root cause of defects.
• Find technical debt, and reduce it together with the team.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools, and adopt the tools that make our development more efficient.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
