Stadler Rail AG is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead ETCS onboard system integration programs. You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinating from sales handover through warranty, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality and safety standards.

The role requires extensive experience in complex engineering or railway environments, knowledge of TSI CCS, UNISIG, and CENELEC, and willingness to travel 10-25%. Fluent English; German is an asset.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in project/program management in complex engineering or railway environments.
• Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary projects with scope, schedule, budget, and quality ownership.
• Strong knowledge of railway standards (TSI CCS, UNISIG, CENELEC).
• ETCS onboard systems and railway signaling experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor project managers and promote knowledge sharing.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT

• Lead the technical and commercial management of complex ETCS onboard system integration projects and programs.
• Manage projects throughout their full lifecycle, from Sales handover to the end of the warranty period.
• Ensure achievement of project objectives relating to schedule, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• Manage customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders, building strong and trusted relationships.
• Proactively manage risks, opportunities, changes, and project dependencies.
• Monitor and control project financial performance, including forecasting, costs, revenues, and profitability.
• Ensure contractual compliance and provide accurate and timely project reporting.

• Lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional project teams, fostering effective collaboration and a strong team culture.

• Coach and mentor project managers and new team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management methodologies, tools, governance, and ways of working.
• Contribute to the development and maturity of the project management organization, shaping standards, processes, and operational excellence.
• Support strategic business objectives by improving overall project and organizational performance.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar).
• Extensive experience in project or program management within complex engineering or railway environments.
• Proven track record in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of railway standards and regulations (e.g., TSI CCS, UNISIG, CENELEC).
• Experience with ETCS onboard systems and railway signaling is a strong advantage.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor project managers and drive knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Strategic, structured, and results-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and organizational development.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Fluent in English; German and additional languages are an asset.
• Willingness to travel (10-25%).
