Zusammenfassung

ELLEON, a Switzerland-based engineering consultancy, seeks a (Senior) Project Manager to lead ETCS onboard system integration projects for rolling stock manufacturers. You will plan, coordinate and oversee complex railway programs, managing customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

You will work with cross-functional teams, manage risks and changes, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Engineering (ETH/TU/FH/University) and several years of project management experience in rail/transportation.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical projects with scope, schedule, budget, quality and customer satisfaction responsibilities.
• Knowledge of railway standards (TSI CCS, UNISIG) and ETCS onboard systems is advantageous.

Your Role

As a (Senior) Project Manager you will plan, coordinate and oversee complex railway projects from initiation through completion, managing customers, suppliers, internal teams and partners, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in line with safety and quality standards.

You will proactively manage risks, opportunities, changes and dependencies, and lead cross-functional project teams with a strong team culture.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical and commercial project management of ETCS onboard system integration projects.
• Manage projects throughout their full lifecycle, from handover by Sales through to the end of the warranty period.
• Ensure achievement of project objectives related to schedule, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all project activities to ensure successful and timely project execution.
• Manage and coordinate all project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, internal teams, and partners.
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks, opportunities, changes, and project dependencies.
• Monitor project financial performance, including costs, revenues, forecasting, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and provide accurate and timely project reporting.
• Lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional project teams, fostering effective collaboration and a strong team culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices.

Who You Are

• University degree (ETH/TU/FH/University) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar).
• Several years of experience in project management, preferably within the railway or transportation industry.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of relevant railway standards and regulations (e.g., TSI CCS, UNISIG) is an advantage.
• Experience with ETCS onboard systems or railway signaling is an advantage.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Fluent in English; German and additional languages are an asset.
• Willingness to travel (10-25%).
