Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Support Engineer to join our team in Zurich. We are looking for an ideal candidate with around 10 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, automation and production support within banking and telecom domains. You will support secure, scalable platforms, mission-critical applications, and ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence across all environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support & Reliability Engineering
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance across complex production environments.
  • Ensure systems meet or exceed 99.99% uptime, focusing on data integrity, performance, and high-volume transaction reliability.
  • Implement and manage observability and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
  • Define and monitor SLA / SLO / SLI metrics across banking and telecom applications.
  • Coordinate and support application rollouts, upgrades, and environment synchronization.
  • Perform disaster recovery activities quarterly and make sure DR platforms are in sync with production system
  • Monitor and control batch jobs across varies applications and automated alerts using PowerShell and Shell scripting.
  • Create timely reports on KPIs related to system uptime, downtime, ticket response times, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Available for after office hours on-call support rotation for troubleshooting of urgent issues.
  • Support rollout and maintenance of core banking systems, digital platforms, identity management solutions, and telecom back-end services
  • DevOPS activities
  • Act as a technical lead and subject matter expert for production support best practices across multiple applications.
  • Partner with product, development, QA, and compliance teams to align infrastructure with business and regulatory needs.
  • Support infrastructure initiatives such as open banking enablement, SWIFT / ISO 20022 migration, and security posture hardening.
  • Mentor junior engineers and build internal knowledge of platform operations and support practices.

Qualifications

  • Required :
  • 10+ years of professional experience in Infrastructure / Production Support / SRE roles, with a proven track record in banking and telecom systems.
  • Strong expertise in Control-M, Unix, ITIL framework
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills (Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell).
  • Deep understanding of financial services platforms, including regulatory applications, core banking integration and API gateways (PostMan, SoapUi).
  • Experience in supporting high-availability, regulated environments with clear understanding of compliance and security constraints.
  • Preferred :
  • Experience with large-scale platform modernization and migration projects in financial or telecom sectors.
  • Familiarity with process automation / RPA tools such as UiPath and Resolve Express.
  • Knowledge of Swiss or EU-specific financial regulations (FINMA, GDPR, PSD2).
  • Industry knowledge such as ITIL, Oracle, Azure, Cloud, PROD Support and DevOPS.
  • Coordination with multiple offshore location would be a key with local language preferences.
