SOPHiA GENETICS is seeking a Senior Platform Designer to shape design for a complex clinical platform spanning genomics, oncology, imaging, and real-world data. You will own cross-cutting workflows, drive the design system, and partner with engineering and product teams to deliver regulations-compliant experiences for expert users.

Qualifikationen

• A track record as a senior product or platform designer or product manager in regulated environments (HealthTech, MedTech, scientific software) where users are domain experts — clinical, scientific, or technical SaaS where workflows are genuinely complex and simplification is not the answer.
• A portfolio of shipped work showing product judgment: hard tradeoffs, designs evolved through validation, and clear evidence that your involvement changed what got built, designed for multiple, distinct user groups.
• Experience designing information-dense, data-heavy interfaces: tables, filters, multi-step clinical or scientific workflows, multimodal data views.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design of major DDM platform workflows across the full product surface: variant triage and interpretation in the genomics platform, oncology decision‑support workflows in Carepath, multimodal data views that combine genomic and imaging signals, and DataHub experiences for clinical and pharma research users.
• Define and evolve cross-surface interaction patterns to give the platform coherence: how data from different modalities is presented together, how classification decisions are recorded and traced, how users with different expertise levels navigate the same underlying data.
• Govern and evolve the DDM design system in collaboration with engineering: component usage, token standards, interaction primitives, and the documentation that makes the system usable across teams.
• Prototype and validate ideas quickly: build interactive prototypes using AI-assisted tooling, low-code scaffolding, or hand-crafted HTML to get clinical feedback fast.
• Partner with engineering, product, and cross-team stakeholders: translate design workflows into engineering requirements and acceptance criteria.
