Zusammenfassung

Bank for International Settlements (BIS) seeks a Senior Platform Engineer (DBA) to design, engineer and maintain robust, secure, and scalable database platforms (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle). You’ll drive modernisation, standardisation and containerised patterns on OpenShift while ensuring governance and security compliance.

The role reports to the ITS department and offers hybrid/remote-capable work, relocation support, and opportunities to lead major modernization programs.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Hands-on in cloud platforms, automation, scripting, and IaC tools; familiarity with CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Experience with relational and cloud-native databases; knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle is a plus.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and data protection controls.
• Experience with containerised patterns on OpenShift and hybrid cloud
• Strong collaboration with security and engineering teams to ensure secure-by-design patterns.

• Enable modern database architectures, including containerised deployments on OpenShift.
• Design, implement, and optimise platform components for security, resilience and performance.
• Lead lifecycle management, observability, incident and problem management.
• Develop IaC modules and automate provisioning and configuration.
• Collaborate on DevOps practices and CI/CD integration.
