Job summary

SICPA is seeking an in-house Patent Attorney to align technology identification, extraction, and protection with chemistry-focused business activities. You will partner with the R&I and IP teams to identify innovations and protect them through patents, combining drafting and prosecution with strategic IP guidance.

The role requires proactive collaboration across R&I, Commercial, and Legal teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear messages for global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Drafting and filing patent applications
• Worldwide patent prosecution experience
• Ability to translate complex chemistry concepts into clear messages
• Strong collaboration with R&I, commercial and legal teams

Responsibilities

• Analyze innovation for patentability and capture inventions
• Conduct prior art searches and assess patentability
• Draft IP-related agreements with third parties
• Provide Freedom to Operate opinions and clearance studies
• Support cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships
