Job summary

SICPA SA in Switzerland is seeking an in-house Patent Attorney to ensure technology identification, extraction and protection align with the company’s chemistry activities. You will draft, file and prosecute patents and work with the R&I and IP teams to capture innovations.

This proactive, collaborative role requires translating complex science for stakeholders and excellent communication. English fluency is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• PhD (preferred) or master’s degree in chemistry.
• Qualified European Patent Attorney (EPA).
• Minimum 3 years of drafting and prosecuting patent cases after EPA qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English; French is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Harvest and capture innovation with R&I and maintain awareness of patent opportunities.
• Draft, file and prosecute patent rights; supervise worldwide prosecution.
• Provide comprehensive patent support to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Oversee IP risk management and advise on freedom-to-operate and IP-related agreements.
