Job summary

Zurich is seeking a Senior P&C Risk Manager to act as a trusted risk partner to leadership and drive improvements in risk management practices across the P&C portfolio. You will collaborate with Group Risk Management and business teams to strengthen governance and support better outcomes for customers.

You will develop risk appetite, provide independent risk advice, and influence strategic decisions while contributing to a resilient organisation. Location: Zürich Campus, Switzerland.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in P&C Insurance or risk management.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in risk management, insurance, actuarial science, finance, economics, business administration or related field.
• Professional underwriter certification is an advantage.
• Experience in a second line risk management function.
• Ability to interpret risk information and translate findings into actions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills in a complex matrix.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk advice, guidance and challenge to stakeholders on major activities and decisions.
• Lead risk analyses and assessments, including deep dives for major projects.
• Develop and enhance risk governance, policies, tools and templates.
• Oversee assurance, monitoring and reporting activities for senior management.
• Support Risk Management leadership on strategic priorities and risk matters.
• Promote a strong risk culture through training and stakeholder engagement.
