Job summary

Julius Baer in Zurich seeks an experienced control and risk professional to lead independent quality assurance of key non-financial risk controls across the group.

You will drive improvements, guide locations on the internal control framework, and advance FINMA-aligned QA processes, collaborating with senior management across divisions.

Fluency in English; German or French is a plus; university degree in economics or finance; 5–8 years in audit, compliance, or risk within private banking.

Qualifications

• University degree in economics, business administration or finance.
• Min 5–8 years of professional experience in private banking, audit, compliance, risk, or control functions.
• Strong leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English; German, French or another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent quality assurance of key controls for non-financial risk types.
• Identify internal control weaknesses and recommend process improvements.
• Provide guidance on the Internal Control Framework and tools to international locations for reporting.
• Develop and enhance the quality assurance framework in line with FINMA requirements.
• Lead meetings with senior management and stakeholders across divisions and international locations.
