Zusammenfassung

RUAG is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (MSSQL) in Emmen to optimise the existing Data Warehouse and drive the migration towards a Data Lakehouse architecture. You will implement the migration, operate and monitor the Lakehouse, and prepare data for BI and AI use cases.

The role requires several years of experience with on-premise Data Warehouse environments, strong MSSQL and SQL skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in (business) computer science or data engineering or comparable qualification.
• Proven experience building and operating on-premise Data Warehouse solutions and, ideally, Data Lakehouse.
• Strong SQL skills; knowledge of MSSQL and preferably Talend.

Aufgaben

• Optimisation of the existing on-premise Data Warehouse as a basis for migration.
• Technical implementation of migration from Data Warehouse to on-premise Data Lakehouse architecture.
• Operation, monitoring and further development of the Data Lakehouse after initial setup.
• Prepare and provide data for BI to AI use cases.
• Contribute to and establish best practices around Data Warehouse and Data Engineering and Data Lakehouse.
