Zusammenfassung

IonQ in Geneva seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, validate, and continuously improve mechanical enclosures for our quantum products, from prototyping through industrial release.

You will work with sheet metal and machined parts, perform CAD-based design and thermal analyses, and collaborate across optical, electronic, and system engineers in an Agile environment to ensure cryogenic readiness and compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience designing with sheet metal and/or machined parts.
• Experience developing thermal dissipation solutions for compact systems; cryogenic familiarity is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own mechanical design from prototype to industrialised product, documenting with CAD and validating assemblies.
• Drive thermal management, dimensional stability, and manufacturability with design, simulation, and optimization.
• Perform thermal simulations and correlate with lab measurements to iterate designs.
