IonQ, Inc. in Geneva seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, validate, and improve mechanical enclosures and subsystems that integrate optical and electronic components for our quantum products.

You will own mechanical solutions from prototype through industrial release, delivering compact, robust, and cost‑effective designs that meet dimensional, thermal, and manufacturability requirements, including cryogenic systems; collaborate with optical, electronic, and system engineers, perform 3D

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, or equivalent.
• At least five years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• Experience with sheet metal and/or machined parts; cryogenic systems is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Own mechanical development from prototype to industrialised product, including CAD documentation and validation.
• Drive thermal management, dimensional stability, and manufacturability through design, simulation, and optimization with cross-functional teams.
• Perform thermal simulations and correlate models with lab measurements to iterate designs.
