Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Data Asset Owner, as part of our Data Strategy and Operations team. This role is within our Data Analytics Team, supporting our Data Strategy and Operations organization as part of the Value Chain Management in the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain.

The Senior Manager, Data Asset Owner, will own common data assets used across multiple business domains in IMSC, ensuring they are FAIR, trusted, and effectively utilized.

You will oversee data assets within the Supply Chain data framework, support end-user community data utilization, and ensure data assets' suitability for digital products. Responsibilities include building and maintaining business metadata, managing the data catalogue, improving data quality, and ensuring accurate data lineage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and steward data assets to ensure they are FAIR, trusted, and used
  • Understand the gap between business needs and technical capabilities
  • Create business blueprints in collaboration with Data design leaders
  • Define and monitor data quality rules and thresholds
  • Support technical deployment of data assets
  • Manage data asset lifecycle activities
  • Ensure effective use of existing data structures
  • Enable the organization to leverage data for insights and competitive advantage
  • Strive for data excellence to create value for business domains
  • Rationalize data asset characteristics, APIs, review, and retirement policies
Qualifications - External Education
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related fields
Experience and Skills
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in data management, including governance, quality, and metadata principles
  • Proficiency with data management tools (e.g., data catalogue, data lake house)
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GxP, HIPAA, SOX)

Deep knowledge of supply chain operations, including processes, rules, and data requirements, with experience in SAP S/4 is preferred.

  • Experience in driving business value through data capabilities
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate requirements into data models
  • Experience managing data asset stewardship projects
Preferred
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals or Healthcare industries
  • Ability to align data initiatives with organizational goals
  • Adaptability to emerging data technologies
  • Strong analytics and strategic thinking skills
Other
  • Travel up to 10% domestically or internationally may be required
