Zusammenfassung

Accelleron, a global technology leader in turbocharging, fuel injection and digital solutions, invites a Senior Legal Counsel to Baden, Switzerland. This role has global responsibilities to define and implement Integrity procedures, provide legal advice, contract support, and oversee governance matters.

You will act as secretary to a Board committee, lead training initiatives, manage investigations, and guide regional teams on compliance, sanctions, data privacy and AI governance.

Qualifikationen

  • Master of Laws, bar admission.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification in international business.
  • Experience building compliance processes (anti-bribery, sanctions, or data governance).

Aufgaben

  • Define and implement global Integrity procedures including awareness and training.
  • Provide legal advice, contract support, dispute management and regulatory guidance.
  • Act as Secretary to a Board committee and support governance initiatives.
  • Structure and negotiate strategic collaborations, JVs, and M&A agreements.
  • Oversee internal investigations and data/privacy compliance initiatives.

In this senior role with global responsibilities based in Baden, Switzerland, reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will be responsible for defining and implementing global Integrity procedures, including awareness & training. You will be providing legal advice, contract support, dispute management and integrity & regulatory guidance, as well as acting as the secretary to one of the Board committees. You will also play a key part in bringing our Vision and Mission to life by embedding our values of integrity, responsibility and sustainable growth into our global legal and compliance framework.

Your Responsibilities:
Integrity
  • Support in continuous improvement and implementing Global Integrity and data privacy procedures, including the Group Code of Conduct, in collaboration with the Group Integrity Officer
  • Design and deliver awareness & training concepts, content, delivery modes, training administration and reporting, incl. risk-/cost-/efficiency-based make/buy decisions . Leverage AI technology in awareness & training
  • Responsible to manage parts of the Accelleron global compliance program, including appropriate internal controls, data analytics and AI-assistance for preventing and detecting possible breaches
  • Support implementation and operation of retaliation-free reporting channels available to all stakeholders
  • Manage internal investigations, coordinating with outside resources, including case resolution, implementation of disciplinary action and other remediation
Senior Legal Counsel (Global and Region)
  • Structure, draft, review and negotiate strategic collaboration agreements, joint venture agreements, M&A agreements. Manage respective deal processes incl. outside counsel management and cost, as well as conduct due diligence and assess risks in corporate deals along Accelleron risk posture
  • Provide legal advice to global management and local teams in the Region, protect legal interests of the organization and manage disputes matters
  • Design contract standards and provide contract reviews and negotiation support for all types of commercial agreements
  • Design and deliver appropriate trainings
Global Governance
  • Act as part of the global Legal, Integrity & Intellectual Property team, participate in global projects, including on legal technology, and collaborate within the function globally
  • Act as Secretary of a committee of the Board of Directors
  • Support on regulatory developments relevant to our business and strategy (e.g. geopolitics, data, AI, sustainability)
  • Support Group Trade Compliance Officer on sanctions and export controls management
  • Manage external service providers, including external legal counsel, along agreed financial targets and constraints
Your Background:
  • Master of Laws degree from a reputable law school; bar admission
  • At least 5 years of position-relevant post-qualification experience in an international business environment
  • Experience in establishing and running compliance processes, with a focus on either antibribery & corruption, antitrust, sanctions/export controls or data/AI governance
  • Experience or demonstrated curiosity in using data, analytics and artificial intelligence with agility and sound judgment to enhance effectiveness, insights and business impact an asset
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information, and create risk-based solutions
  • Outstanding stakeholder communication skills
  • Fluency and agility in oral and written English & German a must; French, Spanish and further languages an asset
