Job summary

Roche is seeking a versatile Scientist in pRED to bridge wet-lab science with advanced digital infrastructure. You will shape agentic AI workflows from assay design to data delivery and lead platform adoption across the department.

The role combines biological literacy with data engineering, enabling closed-loop analytical systems and FAIR data assets while accelerating assay design and reducing bottlenecks for specialized teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Computational Biology, Scientific Informatics, Bioinformatics, Biology/Biochemistry with a strong computational focus.
• Solid experience with cellular, biochemical, or biophysical systems and FAIR data management.
• Experience with laboratory informatics environments (LIMS/ELN) alongside wet-lab operations and DoE.

Responsibilities

• Lead co-development and rollout of end-to-end assay development and LIMS.
• Design and integrate Agentic AI tools and DoE frameworks.
• Build pipelines connecting instrument outputs to databases for FAIR data standards.
• Onboard users, train bench scientists, and promote platform adoption widely.
