Basel Institute on Governance in Basel, Switzerland seeks a Senior Specialist, IT to take operational ownership of IT infrastructure, security and identity management. The role works closely with the Head, IT and eLearning, ensuring systems remain secure, available and well-documented.

The successful candidate will lead day-to-day IT operations, oversee AI tool adoption for safe governance of technology, and supervise the Associate, IT in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or equivalent in IT or related field.
• At least five years' IT systems administration and infra experience.
• Expertise in network and firewall administration with AD and Google Workspace IAM.
• Experience with UniFi, Synology NAS, NextCloud and 3CX; mentoring is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google Workspace administration.
• Experience with AI platforms and building AI tools, plugins, connectors, agents.
• English fluency; German and other languages are advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Own IT security and operations policy, disaster recovery and malware plans.
• Maintain IT infrastructure: Sophos firewall, UniFi, printers, 3CX, NAS, NextCloud.
• Manage users and access: AD and Google Workspace including onboarding/offboarding.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness training for staff.
• Identify and implement AI tools to improve IT operations.
• Supervise Associate, IT and coordinate workload.
• Oversee IT asset management, backups and monitoring; liaise with providers.
• Provide first-level IT support and escalate complex issues.
