Zusammenfassung

The Basel Institute on Governance seeks a Senior Specialist, IT to own IT security, operations, and identity management. You will work with the Head, IT and eLearning to keep systems secure, available and well-documented, and to drive AI adoption in a compliant, well-governed manner.

The role demands leadership of the Associate, IT, day‑to‑day support, and collaboration with external providers. Strong English and German skills are favored.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or equivalent in information technology or related field.
• At least five years' experience in IT systems administration and infrastructure.
• Experience with mixed on-premises and cloud environments.
• Expertise in network and firewall administration; Sophos experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google Workspace administration.
• Experience with AI platforms and governance of tools/plugins.
• English fluency; German language skills are advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Own IT infrastructure security and operations policy implementation.
• Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure components (firewall, Wi‑Fi, printers, telephony, NAS, NextCloud).
• Manage user access across Active Directory and Google Workspace; onboarding/offboarding.
• Coordinate cybersecurity awareness training for staff and incident response.
• Identify and adopt AI tools to improve IT operations and governance.
• Supervise the Associate, IT and coordinate day‑to‑day IT support.
• Oversee asset management, backups, and monitoring; liaise with external providers.
• Provide first‑level IT support and escalate complex issues.
