Zusammenfassung

LGT Private Banking in Zürich seeks an IT Security Engineer to protect and advance our applications, cloud services, and infrastructure. You will work with architects, engineers and risk teams to implement security-by-design across DevOps, ensuring reliable operation and scalable safeguards.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of experience in IT security engineering or cloud security.
• Strong knowledge in multiple security areas (network, identity, SIEM, etc).
• Practical experience with security technologies (Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, DLP, PAM, firewall).
• Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Go).
• Understanding of security-by-design and risk-based decision making (ISO 2700x, NIST).
• Structured, reliable and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain security concepts.
• Excellent English, German a plus.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call duty.

Aufgaben

• Advise project, product and platform teams on secure architecture, design and implementation
• Perform security-by-design reviews for applications, cloud services and critical systems
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance security controls across firewall, secure web access, VPN, endpoint, DLP, PAM, cloud security, and identity, while ensuring their reliable operation as part of a DevOps delivery model
• Support evaluations, PoCs and rollouts of new security products and services
• Use automation, scripting and AI-enabled tools to improve recurring security processes, analysis, documentation and control effectiveness
• Contribute to security standards, policies, KPIs, reporting and risk‑based decision-making
• Support incident handling, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis where security engineering expertise is needed
• Work closely with infrastructure, development, operations, governance and risk teams
