Join in Lausanne, Switzerland is seeking a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer to join an international R&D team for next-generation satellite communication solutions in aerospace.

You will design embedded electronic hardware and collaborate with Systems, FPGA, RF, Mechanical, Thermal, and Manufacturing engineers to deliver high-reliability products meeting tough industry standards.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or Engineering degree in Electronics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in hardware electronics design.
• Proven experience owning the complete development of complex electronic boards.
• Strong background in analog and digital electronics.
• Excellent knowledge of Altium Designer.
• Experience defining PCB stack-ups and routing rules.
• Solid experience in hardware validation, debugging, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Knowledge of switching power supplies (Buck, Flyback, LLC, etc.).
• Experience working with FPGA-based hardware integration (HDL development not required).
• Understanding of EMI/EMC constraints.
• Experience in Aerospace, Space, Defense, or other highly regulated industries is a strong advantage.
• RF experience is considered a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Hardware Design

• Define the hardware architecture of complex electronic boards.
• Design analog and digital schematics.
• Select electronic components based on system requirements.
• Define PCB stack-ups and routing constraints.
• Supervise PCB layout activities in collaboration with layout engineers.

Validation & Qualification

• Perform hardware bring-up and board validation.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
• Participate in qualification and verification campaigns.

Manufacturing Support

• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices.
• Support products throughout the manufacturing and industrialization phases.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Mechanical Engineering
• Thermal Engineering
• Manufacturing teams
