Job summary

The World Economic Forum in Geneva seeks a Senior Manager to lead governance and compliance for externally funded grants. You will drive a consistent, organisation-wide approach to grants governance across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and applicable laws.

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will work with Finance, Grant Operations, Donor Strategy and Initiative teams to oversee due diligence, risk assessments and contractual frameworks.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in grants governance, legal and regulatory compliance, risk management and related disciplines.
• Experience in international nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
• Strong understanding of grant agreements, donor requirements and governance frameworks.
• Ability to assess legal, operational and reputational risks and provide guidance.
• Excellent judgement and stakeholder management.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and strengthen the grants governance framework, policies and standards.
• Oversee due diligence, compliance reviews and risk assessments for grants and contracts.
• Provide guidance on governance requirements, approvals and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate governance processes across the organization and manage governance bodies.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance processes, systems and reporting.
