Roche in Basel seeks a senior finance professional with proven IFRS external reporting experience for a preparer role in Group Accounting and External Reporting. The position is based at Corporate Head Office in Basel, on-site.

You will lead IFRS analyses for mergers, acquisitions, alliances and related projects, translate standards into reporting specifications, and support internal training and process improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant with either a degree in finance and accounting or a professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of practical working experience in IFRS external reporting for a large global organization.
• Proven experience in complex IFRS knowledge, particularly in mergers & acquisitions, alliances, partnering, divestments and revenue recognition.
• Ability to communicate IFRS concepts to non-accounting colleagues.

Aufgaben

• Lead IFRS analyses for mergers, acquisitions, alliances and related projects.
• Prepare year-end and half-year external IFRS consolidated financial statements.
• Manage monthly closing and external reporting events.
• Translate IFRS and reporting standards into detailed specifications and update the accounting manual.
• Facilitate internal financial training and update training materials.
• Ensure an effective internal control system and identify process improvements.
