Zusammenfassung

Job-Room based in Basel seeks an experienced Accountant to own financial reporting, statutory accounting, and audit coordination in a growing international environment.

Responsibilities include managing GL, preparing statements under OR/Swiss GAAP FER, and supporting budgeting, tax matters, and ad hoc reports.

• Fluent German and English (written and spoken).
• Several years of experience in Swiss financial accounting.

Aufgaben

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and Swiss GAAP FER
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial analyses
• Support budgeting and variance analysis
• Assist with tax and VAT-related matters
• Coordinate external audits and act as a key contact for auditors and relevant authorities
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support payment processing activities
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls

Your responsibilities

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and accruals
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR) and Swiss GAAP FER

Your profile

• Commercial education (EFZ) or an equivalent qualification
• Further education in finance and accounting (or currently pursuing a relevant qualification)
• Several years of experience in Swiss financial accounting
• Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting regulations (OR) and experience with Swiss GAAP FER; IFRS exposure is beneficial
• Experience working with auditors and regulatory authorities is an advantage
• Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
• Independent, reliable, and detail\\-oriented working style with strong analytical skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365; experience with SAP Business One and/or LucaNet is a plus
