Job summary

Myjob is assisting a Zurich-based client in the pharma sector to recruit a senior tax professional. The role focuses on managing and advising on cross-border tax matters across Europe, leading tax compliance, audits, and transfer pricing activities.

Candidates should have strong tax reporting experience, preferably in pharma or Big 4, with deep knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Swiss GAAP. English is mandatory; German language is advantageous. Swiss work permit or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Strong tax reporting experience, preferably in pharma or Big 4
• Deep knowledge of tax laws across relevant European countries, esp. Eastern Europe
• Fluency in English; German knowledge is a plus
• Experience with IFRS (IFRS 12 preferred), US GAAP and Swiss GAAP
• Understanding of corporate income tax accounting and compliance processes
• Public accounting background; CPA/tax specialist credentials preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on tax matters for European countries including Eastern Europe
• Lead and coordinate corporate income tax compliance, audits, and defence activities in the region
• Collaborate with global and local finance teams to assess tax implications for transactions
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate impacts to teams
• Oversee transfer pricing adjustments, documentation, and tax risk assessments
