Qualifikationen

What You’ll Do

This role will serve as an experienced individual contributor and coordinate with team members to support multiple teams building user-facing features on web and mobile platforms. This role will partner closely with the Accessibility Specialist Designer and team Engineering Lead to implement standards and best practices and work closely with team members to support the development of a cohesive user experience across web and mobile platforms.

Primary Expectations

  • Experience working in agile software development on a cross-functional team
  • Able to navigate ambiguous requirements and environments to support delivery
  • Support the development and communication of milestones and delivers upon their area of expertise
  • Actively participate in conversations and planning sessions with team members and stakeholders
  • Willingness to partner with senior practitioners, and be receptive to mentorship
  • Able to identify risks and communicate to leadership, provides recommendations to mitigate identified risks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills directed at both technical and non-technical audiences as well as stakeholder engagement
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of engineering experience, demonstrating expert-level knowledge in at least one frontend technology stack
  • At least 3 years in an accessibility-focused technical role (WCAG, not just 508 compliance)
  • Experience in testing with assistive technologies (e.g., VoiceOver, JAWS and NVDA)
  • Public Trust Clearance

Preferred qualifications

  • Certification in accessibility (e.g., Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies, Certified Professional in Web Accessibility)
  • Experience auditing or writing accessible code for web and mobile devices
