About the team you are joining

You will join a forward-looking Architecture team, comprising Domain, Solution, Integration, and Enterprise Architects. Your role involves Strategic Architecture Management:

• Proactively develop and evolve enterprise-wide architectural vision.
• Create comprehensive architectural frameworks supporting business objectives.
• Design long-term technology roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish architectural governance principles and standards.
• Manage technological complexity and interdependencies across the organization.

This role will shape the strategic technology direction, ensuring IT solutions align with business goals. Reporting to the Head of Architecture and Solution Design, you will drive innovation at IATA and in the aviation industry.

What your day would be like

The Architecture team designs and implements enterprise-wide solutions, establishes technology standards, and guides technology investments. As a Senior Enterprise Architect with aviation experience, you will oversee several Aviation Business Capabilities and define our technology roadmap to deliver high-quality digital products and services now and in the future.

To succeed, you will:

• Collaborate with industry leaders and stakeholders to understand strategic goals and define technology needs.
• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends for innovative solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure adherence to principles and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams, fostering continuous improvement.
• Partner with project teams to ensure successful delivery of IT projects, including designing modern IT solutions in an Agile SCRUM environment.

• You have 8-10 years of strategic IT experience and advanced knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (preferably TOGAF).
• You have proven experience in aviation.
• You possess advanced Business Process and Data Modeling skills.
• You have strong executive-level communication skills.
• You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent.
