Exyte is seeking a process design expert to join our project teams in Basel. You will be responsible for designing and specifying facilities for OSD processes, ensuring compliance with GMP standards. The role involves managing suppliers and contributing to the success of projects from conception to implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field and experience in plant engineering or pharmaceutical production. Fluency in German is required, and good English skills are a plus.

Discover your exciting role

As part of one of our project teams, you will be responsible for process design from concept to implementation – occasionally also on‑site at our clients. You will either lead or be a member of the process design team, take ownership of work packages and coordinate with stakeholders (clients, colleagues and suppliers) across the different project phases.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Design and specify production facilities for OSD processes – from concept phase to handover (URS, technical specifications, tendering, design phase, FAT, installation and commissioning)
• Take ownership of one or more process systems as Work Package Owner or contribute to the process design team
• Manage suppliers from contract award through FAT/SAT and qualification phases (DQ, IQ, OQ)
• Solve complex technical challenges in formulation, material handling and supporting processes
• Ensure strict compliance with GMP and quality standards and drive continuous improvement and best practices
• Collaborate and coordinate closely with clients, colleagues and vendors across all project stages

Show your expertise

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering, Process or Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field
• Experience in plant engineering, process design or pharmaceutical production and operations engineering
• Solid understanding of GMP guidelines and current industry standards
• Experience in project structuring, cost and schedule planning as well as technical procurement is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confident stakeholder interaction
• Very good German language skills, written and spoken, good English language skills are an advantage
